The Windmill grounds are open to visitors all year round. However, we must stress there must be no smoking anywhere within the grounds. Please take any rubbish with you and please do not climb on or attempt to move any part of the Windmill. Or come to one of our regular open days for a self guided tour (due to Covid19) and view the machinery within the interior. There are also displays on the Windmill’s history within the Roundhouse where you will then find a mill related video, which will also be playing as part of the tour. It makes for a different, educational and in whole a fascinating, fun day out in Surrey for all the family The Heritage Open Days is England's largest festival of history and culture, bringing together over 2,000 organisations, 5,500 events and 46,000 volunteers. Every year in September Lowfield Heath Windmill open their doors to join in celebrating this heritage, community and history.
